I write for the Washington Post Magazine, Science, Mother Jones and other outlets,
mostly about how science and technology are changing the way we live. In 2005, I reported and co-produced a
documentary for CNN that won the 2005 Livingston Award for Young Journalists and was part of a package that
won CNN an International Documentary Association Award. One of my more recent stories
is featured in Best of Technology Writing 2008. Before I became a journalist, I studied biology, earning a bachelor's from the University of California,
Santa Cruz in 1997. I spent some time doing research on a Costa Rican farm, and, for a while, I thought I
wanted to be a soil scientist. But it turns out I'm better with words than pipettes. If you want to know more, email me. |
