Central Park Nature Walk
- Marie Winn, author of Red-Tails in Central Park. Marie writes a column on birds and nature for the Wall Street Journal. She is also the translator from the Czech of the plays of Vaclav Havel.
- Nick Wagerik, self-taught naturalist. Nick has been described as a walking encyclopedia of Central Park wildlife.
- Ed Lam, illustrator and insect lover. Ed often does illustrations for the Science Times.
- Howard Waldman, ecologist. Howie worked for the Parks Department for over six years as a ranger, supervisor of planting projects, and director of rangers in Queens. He has a M.S. in ecology from the University of Arizona and teaches science at the Fieldston School.
Directions
We will meet, RAIN OR SHINE, at the dock at Turtle Pond, at the south end of the Great Lawn, next to the Delacorte Theater and just north of Belvedere Castle. You can either enter the park on West 81st St. (on the West Side) or on East 79th St. (on the East Side). Bring binoculars, if you have them. DON'T BE LATE:it will be difficult to find us once we head off.Cost

If you are not a member but wish to join, you may pay the $15 annual dues at the event and receive the lower member rate. The dues help cover the cost of the events.
