Wilson da Silva

Wilson da Silva is editor of Cosmos, a monthly popular science features magazine based in Australia.

A former foreign correspondent for Reuters, he has been an on-air reporter/producer for the science program Quantum on Australia's ABC TV, a correspodent for London's New Scientist magazine, a staff journalist on The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald newspapers, science editor of ABC Online, and he is a former managing editor of the magazines Newton, 21C and Science Spectra.

The winner of 15 journalism and film awards, he has also written and produced two prize-winning documentaries, including The Diplomat.

Currently president of the World Federation of Science Journalists, he is a former president of the Australian Science Communicators and of The Australian Museum Society, and has served on the board of the Australian Society of Authors.
