Rita Baron-Faust, producer for WCBS News Radio 88 in New York, has been named a recipient of the annual Rosalynn Carter Fellowship in Mental Health Journalism. She received an award of $10,000 to study a topic of her own choosing-"defining cultural barriers to seeking mental health care and how to overcome them." The fellowship program is designed to enhance accurate reporting about mental health issues and encourage journalists to expand their knowledge about related subjects. A total of five fellowships were awarded this year. Fellowship eligibility includes at least two years of experience in print or broadcast journalism (writing, reporting, editing, producing), submission of an application packet, and attendance at orientation and presentation meetings at the Carter Center in Atlanta.
