I love playing games. I also like creating them.

 

In 1986, I helped found the University of Chicago Scavenger Hunt. We ran the first ScavHunt in 1987, then convinced the college administration that it had worked well enough to do it again (trust us, the communion wafer fiasco was just a fluke). By 1990 it was a major campus event, and one ScavHunt Committee after another has kept the madness going for more than 30 years.

 


I’m also one of the designers of two biology card games:

Parasites Unleashed, a color-matching game about parasite life cycles,


and

Bone Wars: The Game of Ruthless Paleontology, a “take-that” game based on the free-wheeling bone collectors of the late 19th century.
