SCIENCE WRITERS AT THE BBG 

Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a beautiful place to visit, but did you know that they have a staff of research scientists, a laboratory and their own peer-reviewed journal, Urban Habitats? Join us for a fascinating overview complete with presentations by the scientists, tours of the lab, herbarium, rare books room, library and garden. Morning coffee and lunch will be provided by the BBG. Come meet with the garden’s noted scientists and staff, including Steven Clements, PhD- Vice President of Science, Gerry Moore, PhD- Director of Science, Mark Tebbitt, PhD- Horticultural Taxonomist, Kerry Barringer, PhD- Curator of the Herbarium, Susan Pell PhD- Laboratory Manager and Plant Molecular Systematist, and Niall Dunne- Associate Editor.
 
The program begins at 9:30 and ends at 4:30. The cost is $15 per person, $25 for couples (any two people registering simultaneously). Guests of SWINY members are welcome. All proceeds will be donated to the garden on behalf of SWINY. Space is limited, so register early.
