Howard Markel on the Journey of Germs

Date: Sun., Nov. 21

Join your SWINY colleagues at the 92nd Street Y for a gripping discussion
of germs, epidemics, and how globalization is affecting our health.

Learn how epidemics like tuberculosis, bubonic plague, cholera and AIDS
spread, what happened once they were identified, the effect they had on
immigration and how globalization can make us vulnerable to new diseases.
