The new NASW market database is coming into the world without a name. We need your help to give it one! In China, where babies don't get names for a full month after they are born, the grandparents or a fortune teller name the baby at a special naming ceremony.
The NASW freelance committee has decided to try something similar, but with a good ol' American twist: Instead of a naming ceremony, we're having a Naming Contest, and we're accepting entries for the next month. The winner will get a free one-year NASW membership and, of course, thanks all around. The contest is open to all NASW members.
RULES
-
The contest is open to any member of NASW.
-
You may enter as many names as you like.
-
To enter a name, or names, send then in an email to databasecontest@nasw.org
-
Entries must be received by 11:59 PM PDT, April 27, 2007.
-
The database contest committee will select finalists for consideration by the NASW Freelance Committee, whose members will choose the winner by majority vote.
-
The person who submits the winning name wins a one-year NASW membership. If more than one member submits the winning name, the prize will go to the one who submitted it first.
-
Members of the database contest committee are ineligible for the prize, although they may submit names. Members of the freelance committee may submit names and may win the prize (we promise to be fair and impartial, and besides, if we'd already come up with the killer name, we wouldn't be having this contest).
