NASW's newly formed Governance Committee is looking for volunteers. The committee will work to ensure that the organization is effective, efficient, and performs to standards of due diligence. It will review the constitution and bylaws on a regular basis and recommend best practices. Committee members will be involved in researching governance practices of other nonprofits and recommending ways in which NASW could operate more effectively on behalf of members. One of the first tasks will be to define the exact roles of the committee based on current NASW practices and those of other non-profits. We’re looking to create a committee that reflects the broad range of interests and experiences of our membership.
