Eight talented undergraduate students from across the United States and from Mexico City met in San Jose Feb. 12-16 to report on the 2015 American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting.
Feb. 17, 2015NASW members are invited to apply for travel grants to attend the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting June 28-July 3 in Lindau, Germany. Apply by March 1, 2015, for the opportunity to connect with 60+ Nobel Laureates in physiology & medicine, physics, and chemistry and over 600 young researchers from 80 countries.
Twenty-five NASW travel fellows, including recipients of the new PIO Travel Fellowship, will be joined by travel fellows from the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing and the Diverse Scholar program in Columbus, Ohio October 17-21 for ScienceWriters2014. Nine talented juniors and seniors from the East Coast to the West Coast and as far north as Montreal, gathered in Chicago Feb. 13-17 to report on the 2014 American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting. Ten undergraduate students from across the country have been selected as this year's AAAS Undergraduate Travel Fellows. Each will receive a travel subsidy to attend the AAAS meeting and participate in NASW's mentor program and internship fair.
Congratulations to the recipients of this year's Laura Van Dam Travel Fellowships. Estrella Burgos, Dan Keller, Phil McKenna, and Eric Niiler will each receive $2,500 in travel support to attend the 8th World Conference of Science Journalists, June 24-28 in Helsinki, Finland.
